The Desert Lily is endemic to the Southwestern US and Northwestern Mexico. The bulbs are referred to as Ajo Garlic and were eaten by native peoples. The plant is related to Agave and produces long, winding leaves that rest on the ground and get battered by the wind. The Desert lily will, when it's ready, grow a large flower spike sometimes reaching 24" in height and adorned with large, silvery-white flowers with green accents.
